Born and brought up in York, I grew up in a family where it seemed
that if anything was wanted someone picked up the tools and made it, and
that attitude rubbed off on me, I have always enjoyed making things.

At York Art School (now part of York College) I completed the
Foundation course and went on to study 3D Design and Craft, choosing to
specialise in stained glass design. Following work experience as a
student with Harry Harvey FMGP I became his studio assistant for several
years before setting up my own studio in 1987. I joined the British
Society of Master Glass Painters, was elected an Associate member in
		1995 and a Fellow in 2007.
I work independently and have
designed and made work for churches, private houses and public
buildings, constantly developing and refining my style. I have taught
night classes for many years and occasional workshops, as well as giving
talks about my work to various groups and organisations.
I moved
house in 2002 and converted my garage into a studio where I have
produced my largest window to date, 90 sq.ft. for Bunbury church in
		Cheshire.
